Jumat pagi yang cerah di tanggal 15 Agustus 2025, SMA Negeri 5 Magelang mengadakan jalan sehat.Kegiatan ini dalam rangka memeriahkan HUT ke 80 Kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia. Semua warga sekolah berkumpul di lapangan bawah SMA Negeri 5 Magelang pagi itu sudah dengan mengenakan seragam olah raga. Selesai dilakukan upacara pembukaan, secara berurutan para murid keluar dari pintu belakang lapangan untuk berjalan menyusuri lingkungan sekolah dengan rute memutar. Berangkat dari sekolah dan kembali ke sekolah lagi. Di sepanjang perjalanan, ada tim OSIS yang bertugas mengarahkan rute jalan sehat. Tim Palang Merah Remaja (PMR) mengiringi perjalanan, memantau seandainya ada peserta jalan sehat yang ditemukan sakit sangat perjalanan. Tim Arjuna juga mengiringi jalan sehat, mengabadikan momen tersebut dengan membidikkan kamera. Mereka mengasah keahlian di bidang fotografi, termasuk memberikan pelatihan kepada anggota baru Arjuna. Semangat mereka tak padam hingga mencapai garis finish, kembali ke sekolah. Masing-masing peserta jalan sehat mendapat kupon undian doorprize. Hal ini sebagai komitmen sekolah untuk memberikan semangat kebangsaan wujud nasionalisme, mengisi perayaan hari kemerdekaan dengan kemeriahan dan kebahagian. Rasa lelah peserta jalan sehat mulai terobati dengan mendengarkan suguhan band-band kreatif murid SMA Negeri 5 Magelang. Doorprize mulai diundi, diberikan kepada peserta jalan sehat yang sesuai dengan nomor undian yang diambil. Perlombaan-perlombaan untuk memeriahkan perayaan hari kemerdekaan mulai digelar di lapangan atas SMA Negeri 5 Magelang. Diantaranya ada perlombaan tarik tambang, trenggiling kardus, nasi tumbeng, dan balon.
